(a) Serving Coast Guard personnel and their families are entitled to free medical and dental facilities from Armed Forces Hospitals. There are also tie ups with Civil Hospitals for treatment of specialised cases, if required.
(b) Post Retirement, the facilities of Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) is extended to CG personnel and their dependents at minimum one time contribution. ECHS provide cashless treatment for self & family for life at ECHS Polyclinics and empanelled premium super specialty group of hospitals.
Government accommodation for self & family on nominal license fee. In case if government accommodation is not provided then HRA is provided as per government rules.
Officers and Enrolled Personnel are granted uniform allowance annually as per existing government rules. In addition, all enrolled personnel’s are also entitled for free essential clothing.
The Coast Guard provides all its serving officers and Enrolled Personnel with following life insurance coverage at a very minimal monthly premium.

To alleviate financial hardship amongst the serving CG personnel various types of financial assistance in terms of loans are provided from Coast Guard Benevolent Association(CGBA) and NGIS at minimal interest rate.
All officers and Enrolled Personnel are entitled to free ration. Coast Guard Personnel can also seek money in lieu of ration while staying with their familiesas per the existing rules.
Canteen facilities are provided to allserving and retired officers and Enrolled Personnel. CSD provides consumer goods of high quality to troops wherever they are, at a price cheaper than the prevailing market retail price.
National Pension System (NPS) came into effect from 01 Jan 2004 and is applicable to all new entrants who joined CG on or after 01.01.2004. Other benefits on Retirement:-

(b) Leave Encashment
(c) Survival benefits from NGIS.
45 days Earned leave and 08 days Casual leave every year with Leave Travel Concession (LTC) for self, family and dependent parents as per Government rules.
